Hamilton free ticket

I am such a fan of Hamilton and can't wait until I eventually get to see the show at the end of the year. Anywhoo I'm stalking all the Hamilton hastags on Instagram and I come across this woman from Australia who apparently scored a ticket to the show by just sweet talking the person on the door at the Richard Rogers. Please tell me has anyone else heard of this happening? Is it really that easy to just turn up the the theater and ask someone on the door for a ticket and they give it to you? If so I'm on the next plane from San Diego to try this trick. Here is the link : https://www.instagram.com/p/BCquZLTinc2/?taken-by=hanworthhouse

Where did you read the ticket was free? If it was or wasn't, this Australian woman should have kept her mouth and twitter quiet. She could have easily turned a nice gesture by an employee into a firing offense. People, in this day and age, need to put all their business out there for the rest of the world to read. Surprised she didn't post a picture with her grinning next to the ticket. Twit.

If "sweet talking" is a euphemism for something else, then yes, you can get free tickets by sweet talking theatre employees.

I doubt she got a free ticket for sweet talk bc there's no ticket to give. Tell her to post her ticket. Hamilton isn't like a concert, hooking up with roadies don't get you on a guest list.

So we just have to talk to "them" and hope "he" gives us a ticket? With detailed instructions like this, "they" are going to be swamped. One question, where does it say this ticket was free? They bypassed a queue for a matinee ticket, but how do we get to them not paying for it, aside from guessing?

Yeah, nowhere is it really implied that the ticket was free.

As the kids say: "Pics, or it didn't happen." And a pic of the ticket envelope a-donna count. Plus she has a pic of the marquis. LOL. If homegirl really got in I'd like to see a pic of the stage or the playbill.

Though that guy who oversees the cancellation line can be a bit of a, well, not going to go there, but I would NOT be surprised if HE did slip a ticket, just because.

No.

This woman probably took a trip to NYC and wanted to impress her friends.

I think i saw this go down. The afternoon-shift line watching lady was inside dealing with something, so this lady was able to go straight to the cashier. I wasn't sure, but I wanted to scream bloody murder. Nice to have the confirmation that I wasn't just being paranoid.

Was she the lady in the IG pics? When was this? I find it hard to believe someone could get away with this, especially with the female line watcher lady. This one guy, who I think is the supervisor or someone higher up than the other line watchers, is another story.

Yeah, she looked like that lady.

The line watcher lady was inside dealing with something the entire time.
