Well...your scale kind of confuses me if In Bruges is only a 4. I would think In Bruges is darker than that.

I think Hangmen is a less dark than In Bruges, but definitely more dark than The Cripple of Inishmaan. Overall, calling it dark is almost just a given considering it's McDonagh, but it's far from his darkest work.

See this show! Saw it twice in London. Brilliant. I do think they will have to modify the very thick Northern accents however for American audiences.

In Bruges is plenty dark, but compared to Pillowman, it's a Disney flick.

Your ranking of it compared to Bruge and Cripple is quite helpful, though.  Thanks!

In light of the success of Three Billboards, I think this will be a big hit, attracting existing and new McDonagh fans.

As much as I admire McDonagh for his work, those wins (and general recognition for Three Billboards) baffled me. Nevertheless I'm expecting Hangmen to be a hotter ticket post-Globes too. Just this morning the first month was sold out but they've now released premium seats at around $110 a pop.

It’s a brilliant play with a sensational performance by Jonny Flynn. Get tickets FAST. I suspect it will transfer to broadway when everyone realises how brilliant it is/reviews come out.

Flynn is terrific, but it was Bronwyn James that really drew my attention.  She was sensational.

Thought I had missed the boat, but two tickets opened up for next Friday.  Otherwise it only looks as though each performance only has a single seat!  Wow...that's pretty damn sold and it hasn't even started previews!

Seriously. For the entire run only 4 days have tickets available now and all are premium. Does anyone know if they sell the tickets in batches(so more would be available later on) or do they have a cancellation line?

I should have a spare single seat for a Saturday night if anyone is interested.

Looks like it is now sold out!  I expect a soon to be announced extension and/or Broadway transfer.  Not a lot of competition in the best new play field....wonder if this could slip in before April (presuming it lives up to its UK reviews, of course).

it could probably fit into The Court...  I hope they don't rush  a transfer though (do what Hamilton did, announce and put tickets on sale while your still a big deal/ hot ticket, but don't start performances until the summer or fall)

Hamilton tickets didn't go on sale until March 2015. The Public production was closed by then.

Did I imply that the show was still open? The buzz was defanging and audiences were begging for a transfer So that hey put tickets on sale to strike while the irons hot, but did not rush a transfer to meet the awards season cutoff for that season

Not implying that Hangman will have Hamilton level buzz, just that they should not rush a transfer

Hamilton closed at the Public on May 3, 2015. I believe tickets for the Broadway transfer were already on sale.

I saw a couple of days ago that a ton of tickets for 2 dates were added but were quickly snapped up. The entire run is sold out. Someone asked before if there would be a cancellation line so for anyone who missed out on tickets: the site now says that there will be a full-price cancellation line starting 2 hours before curtain.
