Macbeth, I suppose.

It's easier to pick a single favorite of most other playwrights, but this guy's tougher.

Ya know, Shakespeare also died on this day.

Hamlet---I first saw a film version when I was in 8th grade--- went home and read the play (didn't half understand it). I've seen it on stage half a dozen times (plus some film versions), understand it a bit better and still love it.
