Due to Bernadette’s distinct vocal sound and style. I’m curious if pairing her with a younger female voice (say 35-45) who would someone recommend   A similarly raw voice like a Caisse levy or a more pure classical tone like a Laura Osnes.  Or is there another voice that you can think of that would work well to blend with her voice

Yes, Laura Osnes, please -- I'd love to see Bernie outshine and outperform her. She'd eat her for breakfast.

ETA: All joking aside, why? Bernadette Peters has exactly what you said, unique sound and style. Why pair her with anyone? What's the point of this exercise?

The point of the exercise is trying to understand a voice type. Where on a technical standpoint a straight is easier to blend in with choral sound. There are some situations where ie moulin rouge throughout the press tour Aaron tveit would say how he an Karen Olivios voices blended so well (honestly I saw them live I couldn’t hear that it was anything incredible). So in the conversation I was having with a colleague the uniqueness of Bernadette Peters came up. And without simply having them as test participants. I was wondering if anyone on here had an opinion or thoughts if a sound closer to Laura Osnes or Caisse levy or someone else would be better suited for her to harmonize with.  I know when she sang with Kristin Chenoweth I wouldn’t say the two blended well. Even though it was more an experience performance.    There are some voices that natural blend well Bernadette ( and Pattis  for that matter) are two I just am both fascinated and perplexed by.
