Nope - I never put TV shows on my calendar (and I love my TV) but I may have to make an exception for this one, although after this thread it's indellibly etched into my brain... Feb 20th

The best part is the shot from directly above of Bobby stepping into the lone spotlight at the very end of the show.
No, seriously...

Well its been half a year since I saw the rough cut, but at the time I thought it was really beautiful. Maybe my memory has faded though.
Also, I remember there being a really stand-out sweeping shot from the crane during one of the numbers. I have a hunch it was during "Being Alive" as well...

Let this be a lesson to you: BWWers are petty and in love with their own lacking sense of humor. If you want to know when it's going to air, bypass BWW and go to PBS where the information is readily available. Without the commentary.
Talking about lacking in humor! No lack of commentary, though, eh?

There are a couple sweeping shots in the one I saw (which is supposedly final?). They're stunning. I get the intention of the shot of Bobby's feet, but I think it just looks silly. It'd have been better to see his entire body stepping into the light, I think. Seeing Bobby step into the light was always one of my very favorite moments of the show, perhaps only second to seeing him blow out his candles. On the edit, you're watching this beautiful number build, and then bam, FEET! It takes me out a little.
(To be honest, I totally thought you were being sarcastic at first. So I wasn't trying to be mean!)

Posted: 2/20/08 at 6:25pmI'm SO pissed Company isn't showing here. I just expected it to be aired, and I found out it wasn't scheduled last night. I'll have to send an nasty letter to my PBS station. It worked for the Tony Kushner documentary!

Posted: 2/20/08 at 7:24pmI've actually found the PBS link to be wrong in trying to see which programs are airing in my area, not only for Company showing tonight, but other Great Performances shows I've tried to search for before. I would double check in tvguide.com or Yahoo TV for more info.

Why they cutting the big swears? Bad move.
Anyone know if the DVD will be uncensored?
EDIT Whoops, didn't see the other thread. I was wondering why there didn't seem to be any thread on the airing apart from this one...

It ran tonight and it was excellent.
I didn't get my pen and paper quickly enough to catch the address and phone number to order the DVD. Did anyone get that?

I was pleasantly surprised by it, it was not trying to be sappy and sentimental but it was VERY funny, it reflected a world that can no longer exist but was refreshingly current in places.

I enjoyed it
Company is not one of my favorite musicals, but this production was very nice
And when Raul Esparza sang 'Being Alive' at the end, it gave me serious goosebumps. It was absolutely gorgeous, he sang it with so much feeling. What a voice
(I set my alarm for 4am -- cuz my PBS station ran it again from 2-4:30 -- and watched the end again, just to see that song one more time)
There was also a nice little 5-minute-or-so Sondheim interview at the end, at least on my station
