How was it? Did the cast seem sad?

Both nights I went the audience was having a grand time. It's a shame it can't stay until July.

Where are we going, and why am I in this handbasket?

If attendance increases, can it still stay open? Everyone should go see it - it is a fun show.....I liked it and everyone is so nice at the stage door.

I saw it Thursday...I think the orchestra was fairly full, the mezz really only the front 2 rows center were filled.

But the audience seemed to be enjoying themselves. I really couldn't tell if the cast seemed sad or not.

"If there was a Mount Rushmore for Broadway scores, "West Side Story" would be front and center. It snaps, it crackles it pops! It surges with a roar, its energy and sheer life undiminished by the years" - NYPost reviewer Elisabeth Vincentelli

I just came back and they cast seemed fine. All very happy especialy during the B'way fights AIDS/Equity Cares. And at the stage door you got the usual aditudes. And I think today was virtually sold out.
