Has anyone seen Faith Prince in Mermaid?

I'm looking for a review of Faith in The Little Mermaid. Searched around and couldn't find anything. Has anyone seen her?

Yes, I have, and she is really good, as expected. My only criticism would be that, perhaps, she could have had more "evil" looking facial expressions. She came off as more playful in the role, than wicked. But overall, she acted the part, and I love her "makeover"
Of all the Ursulas, I think she portrays the image best.(especially compared to the movie).

I've seen all three Ursulas and Faith Prince was by far my favorite. I despise most of the show, I think the physical production is a complete disaster. However, seeing the show with Prince was the first time I actually enjoyed The Little Mermaid. She's the only Ursula who made the costume work and made it a natural extension of her body and gave it some movement. She was the only Ursula I was actually afraid of. Go see her! She is AMAZING!

I haven't seen "The Little Mermaid" yet, but I have a question about Ursula.

Initially when people were talking about the casting they were not too keen on having an older actress/character actress play the role because it was thought that Ursula had to change into the Ariel look-a-like (I think her name is Vanessa).
I haven't ever asked since then, but I am guessing the Ursula actress does not play that part, right?

The Vanessa subplot was tragically dropped before it reached tryouts in Denver.

In it's place is a very convoluted mess.

I thought that something like that must have happened.

At least now, more older and mature women (even bigger women) can play Ursula in the image that everyone has in their minds from the Disney movie!

I want Mary Testa to do this role...that is after she does Mattie Fae in "August: Osage County" because TLM will be there a long time!

Word. I miss the Vanessa subplot big time and hated the cop-out they replaced it with in Act II.

I agree with the Vanessa subplot....when they first announced Sheri Renee as Ursula I assumed they were going with natural attractive Ursula because she would make a great Vanessa, too.

Oh well...and I also love the little "What a lovely little bride I'll make, my dear I'll look devine...." song she sings in the mirror.....

I was a bit confused when I saw it in Denver...lol

I kinda thought they could have always have used another actress for Vanessa instead of Ursula herself since Vanessa is supposed to be talking/singing with Ariel's voice (though would dubbing work here? Tough, I'd think).

And I miss Ursula growing to a massive size and taking over the sea...they accomplished that bit in the Disney World show, so I expected more from Broadway.

I thought that they might use another actress too and make her look very much like Ariel. In the Disney film, I don't think that Vanessa ever spoke...and if she did it wasn't the Ursula voice.

I guess I will see what they have done when I see it :)

^^Vanessa did speak in the film and sang the "What a lovely little bride I'll make, my dear I'll look devine...." snippet in the mirror while on the boat getting ready for the wedding. Jodi Benson, the voice of Ariel, also voiced Vanessa.

Vanessa kinda looked like Ariel, but had brown hair, not red. It was a spell and the voice Eric was attracted to, which leads to me think dubbing or something like it and getting a separate actress on stage as Vanessa (or perhaps cast one with a similar tone to Ariel's voice).

Oh, Little Mermaid, you are one of my favorite Disney films and you had so much potential to become something wonderful on stage. Sigh...
