Has anyone tried stage dooring Merchant of Venice? I'm wondering if they're doing that thing where they reserve half of the barricade for people who have a ticket for that day's performance. Also, does Al Pacino sign for most of the people waiting? Thanks in advance.

When I went, Jesse signed a couple, but most everyone left w/o autographing (besides Al). Al was great. He signed almost everyone in the first two rows of people on either side. Probably signed for a good 5 minutes, albeit rather quickly.
Will he record my voicemail message for me?
kidbroadway2, thanks for the info! Glad to hear that Pacino is signing for a bunch of people.
Pacino had always been great to his fans. A good friend of mine spent about a half hour with him after a show a few years ago when Al was just talking and talking. He really is one of those big stars who appreciates the fans.
At the Delacorte Merchant Mr. Pacino was the most generous of any major star I've experienced at a stage door, showing genuine appreciation while signing in 95 degree heat.
Completely agree about the generosity of Mr. Pacino- at the Delacorte he stopped and talked to everyone waiting (only about 15 people, but it was still lovely of him) in addition to signing autographs.
Al Pacino definitely was a great at the stagedoor heck I got to take a picture with him. Oh He almost signed my poster twice. Great guy.
