^no, Henry Goodman replaced Lane in the Broadway production and was fired after about a month.

Matthew Risch replaced an injured Christian Hoff about a week into previews of the last revival of “Pal Joey”.

Let the poor girl move on. I’m sure she’s embarrassed enough as it is. 
 

She wasn’t right for the part. They found someone who is better for the role. Stop beating a dead horse.

Roger Rees during previews of The Red Shoes. This sort of thing has happened many times. Mr. Rees was, of course, the least of the show's problems.
