Jamie Lloyd-helmed EVITA revival to play the London Palladium in 2025

Feb 1, 2025 — 8:08:57 PM

Who is going to play Evita? I still haven’t seen anyone do it better than Lupone and Loni Ackerman. If you can’t be better or match Lupone or Loni Ackerman then why even do the show? That show literally hinges on if the actress playing Eva can pull it off. If she can’t, you have no show. Doesn’t matter if the other performances and technical aspects are good. Same with Funny Girl. That show only works if the actress playing Fanny is truly the greatest star. Doesn’t matter how hot your Nick is...

“Monty Python's Spamalot” is coming to Broadway?

The original production was so great. I don't really know what you could do with this show to warrant a revival. How is this current production? Are they putting a spin on it? New take? I'm not quite sure this piece warrants a revival unless they do something completely different with it, but I can't think of a way.

He basically was in LOVE with Matt until one day he wasn't and was basically ice cold to him, not renewing his contract in favor the new stand-by Jeremy Jordan who Arthur was in more than love with basically. Then, o...

Kad said: "Actors who do not continue with a show due to closure do not have their contracts terminated. There is no longer a show to work on. Contracts are for a set period of time or until the show closes, whichever comes first. Termination is equivalent to being fired, not being laid off.Unless the actor is fired for cause (ie- unprofessional conduct), they are paid out for the length of their contract."Is there a consensus on what with cause and without cause is? For example: if an actor ...

As much as I do enjoy the show, I think that part of the finale is so corny.I would be fine with the implication that she lives, but I hope it’s not super obvious." Everytime I have seen wicked (6 times) when Elphaba comes out of the trap door, the audience gasps and goes crazy clapping. It's always been a crowd pleaser. I'm sure they won't keep it ambiguous for the film.
