Have you ever seen a show just for the production, but hated the star?
For example, I saw Sweeney Todd with Patti LuPone. It's a great show, but the "actress" was terrible!

Same here, she and Cerveris did not live up to the parts. I hated the production, but I love the show.

I loved both of them in the show.
I guess that happened last week when I went to see Chicago again. I love the show, but Samantha Harris could have been a lot better. I also didn't like her that much before seeing it.
And I also think Marin Mazzie was the worst Lady of the Lake I have ever seen in Spamalot.
Yes. A recent revival of my favorite musical starring my least favorite diva.

LuPone in GYPSY at City Center
Master Class with Faye Dunaway. I saw it twice with Patti LuPone, but had to leave at intermission during Dunaway's butchery.
I went to Rock of Ages to see Constantine and although he didn't do much for me, I thoroughly enjoyed the production as a whole.

I didn't hate her by any means, but I didn't think Tina Maddigan deserved to be the standby for the lead in a Broadway musical judging by her performance in TWS. I loved the show, though!

I wouldn't say I hated her. I love Next to Normal as a show but don't like Alice all that much.
