Hugh Jackman in "The Boy From Oz"
He gave a star turn for the ages, but what a wretched book.

Brian Stokes Mitchell in "Man of La Mancha"
Nathan Lane in "The Frogs" (Lanes libretto was terrible)
Angela Lansbury in "Deuce"
Kristen Chenowith & Ruthie Henshall "Stairway to Paradise" (the show was atrocious, Chenowith did her usual shtick and Henshall was woefully under-utilized)

It could be much much better, even working with the same set. It's like the director didn't even make an effort at understanding the show, or for that matter actually staging it in some spots.

two that have been mentioned already are mine as well -
Hedda Gabler for Mary Louise Parker, she was okay, the show was a disaster.
The Boy From Oz, I was there because everyone raved about Hugh Jackman, but I hated the show.
