Head of Passes started previews last week in LA. I know it had good runs in Chicago and the Public, any chances of it coming to Broadway this season?
I'm seeing it next week. I'll report back unless a lot of people have done so already.
Gaveston, let me know what you think. Personally, I thought this piece was a middling event, but all faults disappear for the majority of Act II, which is a masterclass in acting by the phenomenal Miss Rachad. And, because of that thrilling 30 minutes, it is simply unmissable.
I saw it this past Saturday and overall I thought it was phenomenal. The set was a character in itself, beautifully done. It feel like a one woman show (act 2) and a good chunk of act one. Phylicia Rashad gave a performance of a lifetime in my opinion (especially in act 2) WOW, blown away. From her extremely long monologues she gives so much into, and to her acting chops that make you laugh, cry, and really feel for her. The play overall written by the screenwriter of "Moonlight" was a great night at the theatre. Never boring, never questionable. This is something not to miss. Thinking about going again.
Is this at the Taper?
Yes, DAME. Will do, Sally.
I saw Rashad play the Witch in INTO THE WOODS 30 years ago. Loved her then and I am really looking forward to seeing her a week from tonight.
I remember hearing the same thing about the set in NYC. Can anyone elaborate?
