My mum queued for tickets this morning and was 3rd in line, arriving just after 8am. They had a grand total of 10 tickets in boxes, 8 were for the matinee and 2 (one per box) for evening. Luckily we wanted matinee but there was a long line!!
Also they were 30 dollars not 21.50 like I had read online.
Does anyone else have updates on the Anything Goes rush? I was considering it next wednesday but it's probably not worth it if they'll only have 10 seats (especially 2 for the evening - since then when I'd be able to go!)
Any insight? If they really only have 2 rush seats for the evening, I'll probably just go to How to Succeed.
I went a few weeks ago, when it was in previews. I asked "Can I please get a HipTix for tonight's performance?" He said "Oh, the hiptix tickets have been sold-out for awhile." (Um, aren't they any performance in advance?) And then I said, "What about just a rush ticket?" And he said, "The best we have is $54 in the mid-mezz." Apparently, their rush tickets are just half-priced tickets. Since when did this change? I got a rush ticket to Brief Encounter for $21.50.

That's student rush. I got first row for $62. It's half-price, whatever's left, 3 hours to curtain.
General rush is $30, and goes pretty early in the morning.
And the Hiptix are in advance but they only set aside a handful of seats per performance for that, and once they're gone, they're gone. It seems to have been selling well.
I'd say that if you want to see it, the student rush is pretty cheap and you can go to the box and get really great seats.

Hey Ripped Man, if you really want a great deal, you can usher it for free! I'm doing it for Anything Goes in June. If you're interested, PM me and I'll fill you in on how to go about it
