The songs are awesome (my favorite is Beautiful), the book is realistic and funny, and I really hope the rumors are true about 2016 because I'd love to see a movie. 7/11's sales would soar.

I don't think 7/11 needs any help.

Heathers has a pretty great score. I know the original Kurt, so I bought the cast recording to hear his performance and i was pleasantly surprised. I don't think that it should transfer though. Not yet. It needs some work.

There is a 0% chance that this will be transferring, as the production failed off-Broadway.

@fantod: I wasn't aware that it failed off-broadway. I really thought it had a huge following. Do you mean it financially failed or got bad reviews? Not that I know anything about it's success really, only heard word of mouth from other teenage girls.

I really enjoyed a number of songs but for the most part it felt very forced, as do a lot of movie-turned-musicals nowadays- especially because the original movie has so many famous one-liners that needed to be included. But then again I only heard the cast recording and never saw it.

I love the score and really enjoyed the show.

It worked in a small house with minimal sets.

As much a fan as I am however I can't imagine a Broadway run being financially successful.

I suspect it's going to do really well in regional theaters.

....but the world goes 'round

The off-Broadway run was commercial, meaning they wanted to run for as long as possible and make their money back. They closed in I believe less than six months and lost money on the production. It wasn't a limited run, so there isn't enough interest to pursue a Broadway production. Saying otherwise is just wishful thinking,
