FYI, for the first few shows, they just released a bunch of seats. For Monday, March 31, the entire front row of the mezz is available, etc., as well as scattered orchestra seats.
I bet they will be gone by the end of the day.
I guess if people are interested in tickets, but have been disappointed in the lack of availability, they should keep an eye out. I had assumed they were holding back tickets to create demand and fill in later in the run houses.

Thank you! I am one of those people who hadn't bought tickets because I didn't like the availability. Just bought first row center mezz for first week of April. Woooo!
The pattern we seem to be seeing with a lot of the hotter/in-demand shows nowadays is that they try and dump at least some unused house seats even before the usual "4 days prior" deadline. I remember seeing it on Lucky Guy last spring and on Betrayal this past fall. It allows the shows to turn some of them into premium seats and sell the rest in advance and not risk flooding the market too close to the performance with not enough time to move so many tickets (and/or without forcing them to go to TKTS to do so). I know a lot of people who rely on this method (waiting for unused house seats to get released) for getting great seats but especially now that they seem to be varying the release schedule, it's not so simple if you want to make definite plans in advance for a specific night!
Awesome! Thanks, oasisjeff! I just snagged second-row center orch for the first Friday
Thank you so much Jeff, I wasn't going to pay $250 for a decent seat. Now I have front row orchestra for the 31st! Thanks again!

WTF? They released front row orchestra now?! Grr...
I hope it's great, Sutton Ross, but to your point, Jeff, who knows if those seats will be any good for this show? Close to the action yes (and as a Hedwig and NPH fan myself, I see the appeal). But the view and sound is probably better from the first row of the front mezz -- if that's any consolation.

I ended up what is usually a premium seat at other shows, row G side orchestra aisle. So, I'll have a great view.
Thank You!! Just snagged front-row center orchestra for 3/31!! xoxox
Both would be great, I'm sure. I think that for this show, which is framed as a performance by Hedwig in a club, being up front would probably be great. ...Probably performed mostly front & center, and likely not many full stage tableus (tablaux?). I recall hearing that the stage is pretty low at the Belasco and I can't imagine that the show would have a complicated set requiring a large deck.
However, I don't know if any interaction is planned, but front row orchestra would likely put you in prime position to be a target of Hedwig's - which I imagine could be uncomfortable to some.

At the show at the Mercury Lounge, I believe NPH spit on someone in the front row. So, you have that to look forward to!
