Oh man I saw the show on Wednesday but didn't see the thread about the souvenir book before that. I'll have to see if the merch stand in the lobby is open during intermission or after the show when I'm in the area again on sun. What a gorgeous book!

My next scheduled visit will be August 15th. I'll be cutting back on trips to the city until the repair work at Penn Station is completed. Train service to the city is going to be hell for a while.

I did a Google search on it, but couldn't find anything, Dame. If anyone has it - please share. :)

http://hellodollyshop.com/souvenirs/program-book.html well looks like it's been taken down from the merchandise site..... unless they are already out of stock for now, I can't understand why this would be? However, I also had the thought that with Scott Rudin's obsession with keeping everything about this production under wraps, that he wouldn't want those who haven't actually seen the production to be able to purchase the book and have access to all those pictures.... but that's just my theory.

I saw the show on Saturday, and the program book was available for sale.

Yes, he is only about the money... until the conspiracy theory needs an alternate angle.

It was available on 7/5 too. I love it, it's got some great info and pix!

Hello Dolly Merchandise

It is a really well put together program . I love it.

Hello Dolly Merchandise

No, my point was that it was removed from the website, meaning that unless you went to the theater and saw the show, for the time being you cannot purchase it online.

I received my program from the store today

My guess is that it is likely just temporarily sold out. I can't imagine if Rudin wanted it under wraps that much they would have ever gotten as far as being able to to put it up in the first place.

Mine are en route via post now...hoping they arrive soon!

So it wasn't a Scott Rudin conspiracy after all?!? Phew...

I don't buy a lot of souveniers, so can someone tell me the average price for these books these days? 45 just sound RIDICULOUS, but I really don't have a reference point.....I remember paying 20 bucks the last time I bought one for my kids.

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

My thoughts exactly when I was told the price. But, it is at least twice the size (maybe three times) of the standard souvenir books that they usually sell. I quickly glanced at it and it was really nice, I was a little distracted by the hot guy selling the merchandise, so my judgment may be clouded.

I think you're right. $20 is usually the going price for programs. But I had to have this. So I had a friend buy one at the theatre last week. He also got a backstage tour and he was able to get Gavin Creel personalize the program for me. So it was well worth the price !

Not sure if this has anything to do with anything, But the souvenir program I bought at Bette's last concert tour was also $45.00. It is a beautiful program and better than the norm.
