Hello Dolly Stage Door

Last night I had the chance to see Hello, Dolly for the first time and it was incredible. I've been to many stage doors and was a bit surprised only one ensemble member and Gavin Creel (which was super nice of him) came out to sign. I definitely wasn't expecting Bernadette or Victor to come out (though they were the actors I was most excited to watch). I think Charlie Stemp came out for a second but was super quick, signed a playbill or two and took off. Probably tired or off to somewhere. I don't hold it against any of the actors, but was wondering what other peoples stage door experience was like at this show? There was also a talk back, so that might have affected it.

The only other time I went, Donna Murphy was the only one to come out, but that's because it was a two-show day where she did the matinee and Bette Midler did the evening show, so Donna was the only one who didn't need to recuperate before the evening performance.

Donna Murphy never performed a matinee during her original run, she only performed Tuesday nights.

Bette Midler performed ALL her performances, only missing one, which was indeed a Wednesday matinee. Linda Mugleston performed that Wednesday matinee. Her first and only time she had to step in for Midler. Donna Murphy was never at any time Bette Midler’s stand-in or understudy.

I don''t know any of the current running shows whose cast doesn't do that...
