Hello all!
I am going to be visiting the city in mid March. I have tickets for four shows. I was planning on my fifth show being An American In Paris, but they do not have a Sunday afternoon show. I would love some help picking my last show. I already have tickets for On The Town, On the Twentieth Century, The King and I, and Finding Neverland.
Here are the possible shows I am considering...
Aladdin
The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime
A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder
Honeymoon In Vegas (if it's still running)
It's Only A Play (this is the one I am leaning towards the most)
Matilda (I have already seen it, but I would love to see it again)
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!
Personally, I suggest "It's Only A Play".
Curious Incident. Great acting and a show that is really well executed.

Curious Incident. There is not one thing in It's Only A Play I could suggest as a reason to see it.

I have seen all the shows you are considering, and while I enjoyed them all, agree with the consensus - Curious Incident.
I saw Aladdin in August and it is a lot of fun and James Monroe Inglehart is worth price of admission. That being said, I would agree with the others that "Curious Incident" would be the one to see. Have heard nothing but raves about it.

I urge you to see Hand To God. Previews will start on the 14th or 15th at the Booth. There are sunday shows. It is going to be the most entertaining play of the Spring and not to be missed.
I think it depends what you're looking for.
I haven't seen most of them yet, that's just how I would prioritize.
From what I heard It's Only A Play is mainly driven by the stellar cast, and I want to see it because I'm very excited to see some of those people live on stage.
Curious Incident is supposed to be amazing, but I don't know much else about it.
Aladdin and Honeymoon are both fun nights at the theater, Aladdin will most likely be running for a while (so if you think you'll be back in NYC before long you could push it back).
Personally I have no interest in Gentleman's Guide, from what I've seen it's just not my type show, so I can't speak about that.
You've already seen Matilda, and this is such a great season for new shows, save it for a weaker season or another trip.
Long story short, if you want to see It's Only a Play because you want to see someone from the cast live badly, go for it. Who knows when you'll get the chance again. If not, go with Curious Incident, as it's the better quality show from what I heard.
Curious Incident no diubt
Thank you everyone :) I went with the consensus and purchased a ticket for Curious Incident!
You won't be disappointed ... have you heard anyone say they did not like Curious Incident? I don't think I have. The same can't be said of any other show you were thinking about. I loved it, have fun on your trip!

You made the right choice. I have been going to the theater for around 45 (gulp!) years, and it is one of the finest shows I have ever seen. I hope that you get to see Alex Sharp's astonishing performance.
