I will be going to New York City this March 11-16 and really want to see as many shows as I can. So far it looks like I can see up to seven shows but I can't narrow my list down.

I want to see:
Gypsy
Sunday in the Park with George
Cat on a Hot Tin Roof
In the Heights
Xanadu
Dead Man's Cell Phone
August: Osage County
Is He Dead?
The Little Mermaid

Are there any worth missing or any I should consider seeing instead. I rarely get to visit NYC so I'd like to be able to see the best I can. Thanks for the help.

Xanadu for a great fun time.
August, most likely Tony winner for play
In the Heights, saw this off Broadway and was floored by it a must see!
Sunday, just because

I would say take The Little Mermaid off the list... word of mouth is that it is not good at all... and chances are it will run forever so you may get another chance to see it, while the other shows may not run as long.

I saw Gypsy over the summer and its definitely worth it!

SITPWG is at the top of my personal list to see along with Xanadu, South Pacific and A Catered Affair.

I think August: Osage County is closing February 17th.

I'm pretty sure that's not true. The lady at the theatre when I asked said that they were going to at least be open until march if not until after the Tonys.

As of today it's March 9 on Playbill. They extended it a bit because of the strike.

I would highly recommend seeing Is He Dead. It was absolutely hysterical. Have a great trip!

Is He Dead? and August: Osage County are musts. I agree that you should take Little Mermaid off your list - you'll have plenty of other opportunities to see it.

Thanks so much. I am going to forget about The Little Mermaid. And I hope that August:Osage County extends. Does anyone know is Dead Man's Cell Phone is a good choice, I'm a fan of Sarah Ruhl's other pieces.
