Help with final show

I'm coming to NYC in August, flying in on a Sunday morning. I'm seeing Groundhog Day, Bandstand, and Come From Away while I'm there. I want to see one more show for the Sunday matinee (or night I suppose). I would love to save some money and do TKTS, rush, SRO, etc. I was wondering what way would be best to get cheap tickets, and what shows I can expect to see. I will fly in about 10 am, so I can probably be in the city around 12 to be safe. Thabks!

I've already seen Great Comet, Hamilton, Kinky Boots, Waitress, and Wicked. I have no interest in War Paint or 1984 (don't like loud noises much). I prefer musicals but I am open to plays, I was thinking about a Doll's House since I've heard good things.

I'd easily recommend Miss Saigon. Second pick would be The Play That Goes Wrong.

Miss Saigon doesn't have shows on Sunday.

I haven't seen Waitress but have only heard good things.

Other than that, I'd say GHD a 2nd time. Ha.

Help with final show

How about The Book of Mormon? It has shows at 2 and 7 on Sundays. You can enter the $50 digital lottery up to a week in advance, and the winners are drawn the day before each performance. So, you'll know on Saturday if you've won for either performance on Sunday. If you don't win, you can still enter the $32 in-person lottery on Sunday. They take entries between 11:30 and 12:00 for the 2:00 show, and between 4:30 and 5:00 for the 7:00 show. Immediately after they draw the winners, they sell the $27 standing room tickets, which are fairly easy to get if you don't win the lottery. If you aren't offended by adult language, I highly recommend it. It's one of my favorite shows.

A website I highly recommend to see the cheap options for shows are broadwayforbrokepeople.com . It's very helpful! As for show recommendations have you looked into Book of Mormon? I saw you haven't seen it yet on your list, and I'm not sure if you only want new musicals, but BOM is great in my opinion. They have an in person lottery, as well as an online one (I think they still have it but it's more expensive like $50). In person is cheaper, and they give quite a few tickets in the lottery (I've been to the in person lottery where they gave away 40 tickets). They have two show Sunday's, so if you don't win one you can try the night show! They also have SRO. That line starts a little bit before the lottery goes, so if you want to make sure you see he show get to the lottery a little bit early and wait in line! They use a microphone to call out names, so you can just wait in line and if you win you'll be able to hear your name, and if not you'll still be in the SRO line! They also sporadically do lotterys on their twitter but those aren't as frequent. Anastasia I have yet to see but maybe you'll be interested in that, they do a lottery and SRO. They've also been lately on TKTS. Another classic that you might be interested in is the lion king just to say you saw it. They have a lottery. As for that you've seen or will see most of the broadway shows I will recommend. Maybe try going back to great comet. It'll be a new Pierre (and Ingrid is amazing if you get there before August 13). They have both an online lottery and rush. Some really good discount codes have also shown up on broadwaybox and theatremabia for the show. You could get $37 rear mezz seats, which don't sound so good, but trust me they are the best place in my opinion to see the show. Hope this helped! But as greenifyme2 said definitely consider seeing GHD or waitress again! Especially with Betsy as it'll definitely be a different experience than Jessie or Sara. For waitress they sell SRO but that has not happened very often with Betsy, as it had to be completely sold out, but they sell partial view for $79 at the box office, and they are a great view. Try asking for right partial if you decide to do that, as you have a view of the kitchen there. There are also some codes on broadwaybox. As a side note have you considered Sweeney Todd? Idk if you only want to see broadway shoes, but Sweeney Todd is definitely worth the experience!

I would also recommend The Play That Goes Wrong. I think they do Sunday night shows so you might have an open slot for a different matinee too.

I've seen the Book of Mormon twice, but it's one of my favorite shows and I would love to see it again! I thought it would be impossible to get cheap tickets, but thanks for bringing it to my attention, entering the lotto is a great idea!

BTW, Leaf Coneybear, which seats did you end up getting for Bandstand? Did you go with the front row?

I did not! My sister agreed (after explaining) that because it's such a dance heavy show it's better to see it from afar. Thanks for all the help, along with everyone else in that thread :)

Leaf, if you're a comedy fan, don't miss TPTGW. Among the few times I've belly-laughed in the theatre!

You didn't indicate the specific dates you'll be in NY, but Miss Saigon DOES have 4pm performances on Sunday August 20 and 27.

I would recommend either A Bronx Tale or Anastasia. They're both wonderful shows! Bronx Tale has a $39 rush, and Anastasia has standing room as well as a digital lottery.

And maybe for the evening (if you want to do a second show that day), I strongly recommend Play That Goes Wrong. It's the most hilarious show I've ever seen; you won't be disappointed!
