Help with my October trip

I want to see CFA on the last Saturday in October.  Any help as to how to get the best seats possible for the best price would be appreciated.  I can have someone stop by the box office if that's the best way. Also, we may want to see another show or two that weekend.  We've seen DEH, and Comet, Spamilton looks interesting, also are there any shows opening between then and now I might keep my eyes on?  Thanks.

I wouldn't expect any discounts or coupons for CFA to emerge before the end of the year.

The Band's Visit begins previews on October 7. I haven't seen it, but the buzz from its Off-Broadway run has been spectacular. If you want to see a hot new musical before it even opens, that might be a good choice.

When I saw Come From Away in May there were discount codes out there (e.g., BroadwayBox, Playbill, TheaterMania), but they all seem to be gone now. Center orchestra seats are quite pricey ($299-$349), with the lower rate being available early in the week and the price going up Thursday-Sunday. If you're willing to go off to the sides, ticket prices become a bit more reasonable. I saw the show from orchestra right, and though I'd love to have been more central, I don't feel that I missed anything (but I don't recommend seat numbers higher than 18 on the sides).

We're going back up there in August and will probably pay full price for center orchestra. This is one of those shows for which doing so doesn't seem like a ripoff to me.

As for other show recommendations, Dear Evan Hansen was very good but tickets (at any price) are hard to come by. We also loved Groundhog Day (have seen it twice) and, if it's still playing in October, I highly recommend it.

Another vote for Groundhog Day- I recommend sitting  in the first few rows of the mezz to get a view of how spectacular the set moves around.

For CFA, rear mezz is a great view. Obviously it's not like sitting 6th row center orchestra but the view is perfect and it doesn't seem far away at all! 

I also enjoyed Groundhog Day so I support that recommendation as well!
