High School Musical on Tour will be on Dance War

I'm SO excited that the touring cast are going to be on Dance War! The tour is stopping in San Francisco in April, but this is a perfect time to see if it's even worth going to. I adore the original cast, but I'm sure the tour cast is pretty good too...

Oh god, this is a MUST-SEE! Which one of those dance shows is it on? Aren't there three shows with a title variation of Dance War?

Currently Chandra Lee Schwartz is Sharpay but when I went backstage when it was in Raleigh they said a new Sharpay was starting in two weeks so it could be her

That did not look like Chandra Lee Schwartz as Sharpay on Dance War. Does anyone know who it was? Maybe Renee Marino?

I can't wait to see who the cast of Dancing with the Stars 6 is gonna be! :) That way, we can see if Marissa is on it or not. :)

I just watched the clip on YouTube and I believe that it was Renee, who is in the Ensemble and is one of the two understudies for Sharpay. The tour's website still lists Chandra in the show as Sharpay.

I was dissapointed they didn't bother flying out the entire ensemble, I have a friend who is in the ensemble and wasnt on it

Their number sounded terrible. I hope it was a sound/hearing issue. The singing left a lot to be desired.

broadwayboy522- I noticed that as well. Where was Leonard Sullivan and the Brainiacs? I don't recall seeing Kelsi there either. I guess if the whole ensemble didn't make it that the swings don't get to go either

Kelsi(Olivia Oguma) was there. The swings in this show are confusing to me. My friend is one but she worded it to me was, she's onstage every night but if more of a feautured ensemble member is out her part is cut and she goes on for their role. So ya I'm assumin none of the swings went.

I took some of my patients to see the show in Atlanta and the performances/sound was better. the girl who played Sharpay in Atlanta definitely had a stronger voice. i am not sure if they just had an off night as a group or if something was going on with the sound. Anyways it is a cute show and kids will enjoy it.

Ya I agree with sesot that Patti Murin who was Sharpay in Atlanta had a much stronger voice, than the current Sharpay on tour and the understudy. I wish she had done the tour.

The Sharpay that was on was Renee Marino. She's a friend of ours and sent out a message letting everyone know she would be on. I saw the tour when it came to Philly and I have to say it was pretty good.

I haven't seen Patti Murin play Sharpay but I have seen her in other roles and I love her voice, but I still enjoyed Chandra's performance on tour, although the role seems to be written as more nasty than before.

That makes sense about the swings. I knew that some of them were onstage every night (I think Leonard Sullivan is considered a swing as well), didn't know if they all were. I figured if they were covering someone, they would do both their own role and someone else's, not cutting their own. The All Shook Up tour and 42nd St had performing/partial swings as well.

misto625, it was Renee Marino. And to answer your question, no. Not the whole cast performed on the show. I know this guy Chase who is in the Ensemble for the show as well as the understudy for Troy, and he told me that he wasn't performing on the show, and that not the whole cast was going to.
