Was Fame on the list?
Yes, of course it was.

Seriously.
If they were to make a list of the top 100 high school movies...
I would hope that HSM would not make the cut.

Why should it be on the list as one of the best.
First off, it was not a movie. It was a TV movie so it would not qualify.
Just because it's popular does not make it one of the best.

sueleen, I f*king love you.
I do enjoy High School Musical but I dont think it could be considered to be one of the greatest High School films. There's some tough competition there. I loved reading through that list, so many movies that i completely forgot about.

Again, IT IS NOT A FILM. It is a TV movie and it would not qualify.
OMG! I loved JUST ONE OF THE GUYS as a kid! I'm glad it's on there.
I haven't seen HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL. I was initially turned off because A) it's a Disney TV movie and B) the title sounds too generic. However, after all the talk about it on here, I admit I'm more than a little curious now -- just to see what all the hullabaloo is about.
it should be on there

LOL! A film is shown in cinemas/theatres. A TV Movie on the Disney Channel is just a long TV show and is not considered to be a film. Please make a note of it.
It's a lame piece of writing, and the score will be forgotten in six months. The only reason it's lasted this long is because it has the Disney name attached to it, which means it can be blindly merchandized to its target audience of 15 year old girls.
But it's pathetic and dismissable and typical of the too-generic fare that passes for entertainment.
HOLY CRAP! How dare they list Napoleon Dynamite before the teen classic Sixteen Candles?! Rebel Witout a Cause should have been number 1 since it paved the way for teen films and the one that started the trend of teen angst movies!
Sixteen Candles # 49??WTF?

This thread has no place on the Broadway discussion board...
Pretty In Pink should be in the top 10.
Clueless should be in the top 5.
The last 3 were pretty accurate.
Highschool Musical FAAARRRR surpasses any of those movies. I have not been so moved by a piece of art since Schindler's List. HSM FOREVZ!!!
LOL!
This is not only off topic, Sueleen HAD to be sarcastic about poor HSM!!!

Jokes aside, "High School Musical" doesn't really fall under a category of 'Best High School Films of All Time.' Regardless of if you enjoyed it or hated it, it doesn't capture the essence of high school as do those other fifty films. Even in a top one hundred, it's simply a film that takes place in high school that barely explores what makes high school... high school. I enjoyed the movie, and while I don't mind people bashing it, I can say without any anger or dislike that it simply doesn't belong, regardless of how horrible it was.
That list is annoying to get through. I stopped at 15 or so. I decided I just didn't care.

Well, perhaps when Disney releases it in the theaters, EW will update it's list. NO FAIR!!!!
Suleen was this an attempt at a joke?
Are you calling her humor feeble?
