Have fun!
Oh, and they finally got the opening night pix up on Broadway.com. Pity Joan Rivers had to get her botoxed face in there and taint a perfectly lovely shot of Jamie Parker. Tsk, tsk.

But when did New Hampshire become--Such a backward wasteland of seatbelt hating crazies?...I mean, only 40 people actually live there. The others are just visitors who come for the tax-free liquor and three inches of novelty coastline. John Hodgeman on The Daily Show (1-30-07)

Ewwwww... yeah, just saw that. What's with Constantine going to like every show opening these past couple weeks? Does he want to do a show?

Well, Drone Rivers certainly puts our Jamie to the test!
What a pisser that you won't be able to make it to NY to see the show, C-Q. I missed your story, though I'm assuming you caught the show in London (though I suppose it could have been elsewhere on the tour). I think I've got tentative plans to catch it again with someone in the next month or so. Though, I really do need to get my act together and figure out just what the hell I'm doing this summer. Yikes!

Nope *sigh*. Didn't see it in London OR on tour... i'm here in lowly Texas.
when i was in NY last november i stood and watched them put up the marquee before Sweeney mat.
i went to the Drama and bought the play and fell in lurv with it. It blew me away.
Than i began shilling
i bought tickets when i THOUGHT i was going this summer for a weekend but ended up having to give them away *sob*

Awww, I'm sorry. You're so enthusiastic, I figured you must've seen the show some point. Well, that's just sad.

Sure is! From the an opening night picture (I edited out the smoochers on either side of him).
Oh, and of course the radio broadcast counts for something! Actually, I wish I hadn't found it until after the semester's over. I keep getting tempted to go listen to it, but I have a slew of other crap that I need to be doing. Ugh!

Popping in between pages of my Virginia Woolf paper (zzzz). Only a couple more to go! Hooray!
The smoochers are Bob Crowley (sets) and Stephen Daldry (the director of Billy Elliot).
And you're not a geek. I wish more shows had some semblance of an audio/video/whatever to enjoy over and over again. I wish they had something similar with The Pillowman or Long Day's Journey from a few seasons ago.

If they had one of The Pillowman that would be cool.
Anyways, yay, History Boys! And I was checking forever for broadway.com to put up those pictures. It took them forever.

Bump...whoo! Going to see the show again tomorrow. A last minute, splurge on released house seats sort-of deal. I'm soooo bad! Maybe I can justify it as an early graduation present to myself (or a much needed reprieve from an exhausting last week of classes).
Whatever, they're a pair of fabulous seats.

Indeed, great seats can't be underestimated!
After this though, any more visits will have to be strictly SRO!

I'm sure I will...I'm really excited to see it again after listening to the BBC broadcast and picking up on some lines, etc that I'd missed the first time around. Plus, I'm looking forward to seeing the show sans-obstruction. Should be fun. I think I may splurge and get a window card. Hmmm...best throw a Sharpie in my bag, just in case!

I'm sure I'll end up picking the play up at some point. Baby steps, CQ, baby steps!
I'm too poor to go buying extra window cards, but I could probably pick you up an extra Playbill. I'd probably have to make a repeat visit sometime to try getting it signed though (I always feel obnoxious enough getting one thing signed).

Yeah, I haven't done the stage door thing much lately. It has to be a show (and a cast) that I really love. I do cherish my Pillowman playbill signed by the cast and McDonagh though!
I always feel like such a shmuck, so I prefer it when they've got the baricades up and they just kind of go down the line (even if it is totally impersonal). It looked like History Boys was just an open free-for-all. Should be interesting.
