I saw there was an old post on this with the NY Times Article, but since then it's been on the CBS Evening News, People Mag, Inside Edition, The Advocate, The Daily News among others! Such a heartwarming story I wanted to keep it alive!. I have attached the CBS Link

I find it kinda sad that in today's media-driven world, the former invariably leads to the latter.
While I think her story is indeed tragic (and ultimately uplifting) I don't know why she did a press tour for it. I think the Times story got the point across.
When a show's numbers are down, you gotta try whatever may work.
I hear Cheyenne Jackson was a hustler before Finian's and Kate Baldwin a stripper. They'll be doing a press tour about their tragedy soon.
I guess despite the negativity and sarcasm here, I still find the fact that a 60 yr old women, who hadn't been on Broadway in over 20 years and ended up at such a low point where she had to sleep in a park, a truly uplifting story. This is the only forum where I have seen some people trivialize the story, but what can you do?
Let's hope none of us ever know what it's like to face the despair of losing everything at an age when you should have some security.
I don't know if this was a press "tour" but why wouldn't other news outlets want to cover it after the Times article and why wouldn't the Finian's people want to spread it? Nothing wrong with that. There are enough negative stories out there, it's nice to have an inspirational one for once.
Just my two cents

I think it sounds more like a story about mental illness, but I thought that the first time there was a thread about this.
