lol this is one of the posts that appear way too many times on here. even says it on top 5 repeated topics post. look back and I swear you'll find some answers
What??? This has been asked BEFORE? You have got to be kidding.
So tell me. Seriously.
well, when he's ready to be a man again he pushes a button which releases the trap door. under the stage is a qualified laser hair removal technician waiting for him. the process takes a few hours this is why a double is used for the whole show... once the orchestra begins to play the tranformation music that is the cue for the actor to make his entrance having had all the hair removed. believe it or not this is done 8 times a week....
Wow. I thought it was a lot harder.

if it takes a few hours how do they do it in the show? the double, right? but if there's a double for the WHOLE show, then what's the hair removal guy for?

It's Disney magic, damn it! Anyone who says otherwise risks being taken away by stormtroopers with mouse ears and imprisoned in the catacombs below Epcot.

In the much-dicussed-on-here book, "Making it on Broadway", one of the actresses who plays Belle talks about her expirience when the "trick didn't work" and how Disney has all their actors sign contracts forbiding them to ever tell how any of the tricks work. (But if anyone knows... tell!)
yeah, maybethistime is right...i was at a talkback with the cast after a performance w/ my drama group. and they were like, we'll answer your questions, but for some of them, we're just gonna hafta say: "it's disney magic."
i guess they expect that b/c all we wanted to know was how they did this and how they did that. i mean, it's not like we could ask brooke tansley how she "developed her character" or anything like that.
I was looking at an older post that said something about a laser technician. What are you talking about! There is no double, the Prince and Beast are the same actor. What they do is for act 1 they use the full make up and at intermission they give him like a weaker coat and when he raises up in the air as he twirls the costume comes off and the makeup is removed, I dont know what a laser thecnician has to do with this.

Is it a similar twirl that Vanessa Williams rode in ITW?

Theatreboy, are you joking? ( not trying to sound mean sorry just wondering, because CATS was totally kidding)
listen, during the Gaston fight on the bridge they use a double for the beast so that the real beast can get ready for the transformation. So he basically has a just a cloke and the head piece which he twirls off in the transformation (which is basically a crane and strobe lighting). This is just what I was told so there's a slight chance it's not true.

FOR THE LAST TIME, PLEASE:
During the last scene in which the Beast appears, it is a double. The real actor is backstage removing the makeup and changing into the Prince costume. This the same thing they did in Into the Woods.
My firend's aunt's niece knows the dog walker for a guy who sat next to the Beast at Dennys on W 67th.
I'm told B&B 's "Disney Magic" is one word..
botox.
So Gaston does the laser hair removal? Does he do Belle's bikini line too? That's hot.
no, but Belle does do Gaston's bikni line. not every last inch is actually covered with hair...
