FROM IBDB....looks like they've scaled back the orchestration...shame, no strings?

Personally, I never saw it as a score where the strings should be absolutely necessary... it's a real brassy score above anything.

However, we still get a harp! And one keyboard book.

The orchestrations are by three-time Tony winner Douglas Besterman.

This score is all about big, jazzy trumpets and saxophones. Nothing wrong with a synth replacing the string section.

However, the original orchestration had a third trumpet and a fourth reed.
