There is no nudity.

I wouldn't call the violence more extreme than anything your kid is watching on TV, only this is right onstage before them in a small theatre.

There is sexual stuff that is probably not appropriate.

If your kid is going to see Idina, she might be surprised to be hit with an extremely intellectual, sophisticated musical that will most likely go over your kid’s head.

It’s more adult than most musicals. There is no similarity to Wicked. Idina doesn’t even belt most of the show.

It is most decidedly an adult musical.

I really love the cast recordings of Marie Christine and The Wild Party...really looking forward to this. I will be there this Saturday night.

Jeffrey2: from what people are saying, it sounds like this is not appropriate for a 13 year old

It's in the same theater as The Normal Heart was, the actors are basically on the floor and the seats surround them on three sides. Last night I sat in the second to last seat on the extreme stage right side. There were a few times when certain actors had their backs to me, but as long as you are not behind a column you are basically ok. Though there is red material used in the prologues to both acts that seem as though they might somewhat obstruct the views of some people on the extreme sides of the first couple of rows.

I hope that made sense...

I'm going friday night too, and definitely waiting. I'm sure it'll depend from night to night, though....some night may be a little too chaotic for her to sign without getting ...pounced.

I sincerely hope she comes out after the matinee, but I hope it does not turn in to the Cary Shields fiasco where my friend had me wait until he woke up from his nap. I hope Idina doesn't nap, and needs to run out for something, or feels the need to sign things and talk to people in the lobby. <3 Except in this scenario I'll be the one that is insistant that we stay.

Nevertheless, seeing Idina live will be enough, but seeing her yet again after the show would be like the mocha affogato in my iced coffee, not necessary but a really damn good buzz.

Is there a particular part of the lobby I should focus on?

Marlene, she's said before that she doesn't like to sleep in between shows.

BSO, LOL...I'm the queen of typos. Maybe I should put a warning in my signature that there's boud to be a typo in everything I write.
