I thought he was fantastic. Every bit as good as Creel, imo.

Saw the show this past Saturday and loved it. Paris is great! Not to mention so easy on the eyes How is Paris as Claude in Hair?

I think this cast is every bit as good as the previous cast (I loved them as well.)

Caught the current Broadway cast last month during their tour stop in Fort Lauderdale. The ENTIRE cast, including Paris... were sensational. Steel was mind-blowing as Berger and though Caren Lyn was a bit long in the tooth for Sheila (compared to the other cast members), it didn't distract at all.

My personal favorite tribe member? Marshal Kennedy Carolan, of course. Keep an eye out for him during the Act 1 finale'. Those who've seen the show know why. Yum-O! How is Paris as Claude in Hair?

Caryn being "long in the tooth" wasn't an issue for me, it was her performance, which I saw on tour in May. She rushed through "Easy To Be Hard" and just seemed out of sync with the rest of the cast.

Paris and Steel are excellent and although he annoys the crap out of me as a member of the tribe (over-the-top), Josh Lamon's character bits are hysterical.

Paris was the best part of the show when I saw the tour's stop in Milwaukee this past February. Do not miss his performance!

Oh! I forgot to write on here when I saw the show last week that tribe member Christine Nolan is an attention grabber. She's beautiful and I didn't see her slip out of character once. She was the epitome of a great ensemble member. So impressed.

Sorry that this was kind of irrelevant to the thread!

I saw him fifth row in Chicago! He has a beautiful baritone and is a wonderful Claude. He danced with me, chanted with me, and ruffled my hair; made for the best show experience I've ever had. I truly wish I could see him nightly. The memories are burned into my mind and heart forever :). I had to write a paper for an arts class and got to write it on "Hair," even though I saw it for fun and I mentioned Mr. Remillard every chance I got! You'll love him!

Irrelevant but SO TRUE. She also has an absolutely insane voice.

Paris is my favorite Claude. You will not be disappointed.

I saw him go on when he covered Gavin on Broadway, and actually preferred his portrayal (even though Gavin was amazing). He's really fantastic, gorgeous voice, and easy on the eyes.

I am looking forward to seeing Paris's Claude. When Gavin was out Jay Armstrong Johnson covered it, and Jay's Claude was awesome. I was disappointed he did not take over for Claude when the original revival cast went to London. IMO, Kyle just did not bring what the others brought to the character. BTW, Jay also understudied Woof, and he played a great Woof as well.

He sat on my lap and ate my hair. I don't think I can come up with an unbiased opinion, now.

I actually prefer Paris' Claude over Gavin Creel's any day. Creel's wonky eyes bother the crap outta me. I can't look at him due to this.

I was a big fan of Gavin in the role, but I'm actually with the folks who agree that Paris actually gives a stronger performance. The show in general feels a bit darker and less joyful than when I saw it in its Hirschfeld run. I think there are different factors--a less enthusiastic audience, a theater that's less convenient for the cast to roam, and then partly just a different set of actors who play the more somber scenes with what felt like more sincerity.

Unfortunately, when I saw it last night, I was in the second row on the side behind a woman who openly read a book IN THE FIRST ROW for much of the first act and another woman next to me answered her phone during the second. She then passed it to her husband who berated her for answering said call during a show. While he had the right idea, I'm not sure that loudly barking at her was the right solution.

So it again last night, and it was just amazing. Paris and Steel look like they have been friends for years on stage. They are so playful with each other.

Caren seemed to be a stronger last night, compared to last Tuesday. Her vocals seem to gotten better and her acting improved a bit.

I did notice a couple of changes to choreography, especially during Hare Krishna now since they changed aisles in which they entire in, but it was still AMAZING!

Happy Opening tonight to the cast and crew!

@Sauja .... My mouth is hanging opening .... What !?!? Attendees did WHAT ?

Holy crap I am horrified to hear people actually behave this way. What the hell is wrong with people. I mean ... REALLY ??!

And I am laughing my ass off at the Gavin "Wonk Eyes" comment.... Too funny

Paris is fantastic. I love this show and how the different actors really do make the roles their own while keeping the integrity of their characters.

As much as I loved Will Swenson in the Berger role, I thought Ace Young was equally - but different - as good. And Steel as the new Berger is also a joy and very convincing.
