Will it last through the weekend? Updated On: 2/2/05 at 11:47 AM
It depends on the reviews and the advance.
I'll give it until the summer at least. The producers are going to give it a chance to find an audience. New Yorkers will hate it but it seems Broadway isn't really marketed toward them anymore.
It should last through august and close at the end of the summer. My prediction.
I think it will pray for tony nominations, and hope the summer tourists will help it out.
Agreed with everyone else. Through the summer, at the very least.

I think it will depend on reviews and advanced sales, like someone else mentioned. It would be a great show for tourists, and I think they would enjoy it, but it has to hold out through the next few months where long-running and successful shows tend to have trouble. Hopefully the producers hold out for a little while to see how well it will do.

It'll last to at least the summer, even if it means the producers pour money into it to make it that long. After all, its a Beach Boys musical, and Beach Boys = summer.
That being said, it'll be in trouble by end of March.
it's already in trouble. i have a bad feeling the last performance will be sunday the 6th. i hope i am wrong though.
You guys still think it's gonna wait for the Tony's and the tour rush?
If this were a generation ago, Good Vibrations would be closed by the end of the week--or the end of the month, at the latest. But nowadays even flop shows still can run for a little while, I guess because a) tourists are stupid and b) Broadway's sense of economy is so messed up that NOTHING makes financial sense anymore.
This said however, I predict that Good Vibrations will not make it till Tony time.
i predict it will close the third week in february.
