Spent Sunday afternoon, watched the DVD "Hey, Mr. Producer" again..almost burst into tears even it's my fifth time watching it.
How many of you have not watched "hey, Mr. Producer"

I saw it when PBS first broadcast it. Bad crush on David Campbell after that. BAD. :)

Dude, David Campbell and Lea Salonga had SO much chemistry. I wanted them to be in a real production of Miss Saigon.

They were absolutely incredible together! David actually auditioned for the original Australian production of Miss Saigon, but wasn't cast because they thought he "looked about 12." (I remember a director saying that in some interview, but not sure if that's anywhere online.)

I love this recording. There is even a CD of it as well.
And yes, Ellen Greene was a highlight for me, as well as the campy version of Broadway Baby.

Agreed with the Ellen Greene statements. Her performance is worth the price of the DVD alone.

Agreed! And my local PBS station showed only one of her performances on the broadcast. Her batsh!t "Suddenly Seymour" has to be seen to be believed. (And I mean that with all due respect and admiration.)

I too have watched this dvd a few times. There some really great names on there and some even better performances. Are there any other dvd concerts like this one that people can put me wise too?
