Holy cow. That's such an insanely large number. Well, perhaps I'd have CLOSE to that many if I counted every single show I've seen, including HS productions, one-acts, and community theater...

But, I can hardly fathom being fortunate/wealthy enough to see 171 Broadway-quality shows in a year! Whew!

re: How many shows did you see last year?

I think I saw more shows multiple times than I did shows at all! (For example-I saw Grey Gardens 4 times, Spring Awakening 2 times) I did get lucky and see all the Tony Award winners minus Pajama Game (Jersey Boys, Sweeney Todd, Drowsy Chaperone) Coast of Utopia Parts 1 and 2, A Chorus Line.

Spelling Bee - 8 times
Hairspray - 2 times
Altar Boyz - 1 time
The Drowsy Chaperone - 1 time
Grey Gardens - 1 time
Annie (tour) - 1 time, but I went backstage another day

I also saw both of the shows I worked on at school, which were "Odysseus Died from AIDS" and "The Rocky Horror Show."

I'm hoping to see Les Miserables on Broadway before I go back to school, or Mary Poppins.

Broadway Shows in NYC

Barefoot In The Park
Dirty Rotten Scoundrels
The Pajama Game
Sweeney Todd
The Public Sings (Benefit at City Center)
Dirty Rotten Scoundrels
Sweeney Todd (with Judy Kaye!)

Not bad for living 3000 miles away. I don't get out to NYC as much as I want. re: How many shows did you see last year?
