I had the wonderful experience 2 weeks ago, to see CC again in MM in NYC. Her performance is brilliant!
I'm planning on coming back in April to see more shows. Would love to see MM again, provided that she's still in the show.
Has anyone heard anything as to how long she'll be in the show?

Posted: 1/8/08 at 3:12pmCarolee seems pretty committed to MAMMA MIA! until she gets another job. She is a very hard working actress and clearly likes to be working and making money as often as possible (as do most people). So unless she has landed another gig (which I hope she does sometime soon, because she is immensely talented and deserves many opportunities to display her array of talents), chances are she will still be with MAMMA MIA!

Yay ! I am seeing Mamma Mia two weeks from now... I am soo excited.. I have not seen the show for like years...

The show will celebrate it's 7th year on Broadway this coming October 2008.

Actually -There are 3 long-runnning shows that have great cast and worth revisiting.
Mamma Mia, Wicked & Hairspray (but I just revisited these two shows last year..)

I'll be back in March and haven't seen Mamma Mia in years. I'd love to catch Carmello; I think she's absolutely stunning!

I'm seeing the show (for the very first time) on Sunday night, Jan. 20th. I sure hope Carolee is in that night. I'm sure I'd enjoy the show without her, but really do want to see her as Donna.

she'll stay with it as long as she still likes belting great songs and having a job.
which i would guess means until forever (or until she gets another major leading role in a broadway show.)
To be honest, Mamma Mia! is probably one of the most secure jobs to have right now, what with the movie coming out soon.

Posted: 1/9/08 at 7:50amGood point about the movie. When Chicago and Hairspray came out in theaters, the Broadway productions got some decent press. It might be to Ms. Carmello's benefit to be a part of the press that Mamma Mia! gets.

What I loved about her in that show is that she is just going all out 8 times a week. I have seen some performers who are in a show for a long period of time who are sometimes tired onstage. I have never seen that with her at all.
I conquer that it would do her good if she stays there during the press of the movie comming out. She will get very much noticed and maybe the chance to go onto bigger things.
