Her family's inherent Jewishness didn't stop her dad from taking home 4 Tony's.

Posted: 7/22/08 at 2:42amWell Emma, if you are SUCH a good actress you shouldn't have needed this show but for some reason right there you were. Are things not going well in therapy?

Posted: 7/22/08 at 2:49amYou do realize that I'm not bothered when you call me Emma Zaks. I take it as a compliment. She is my idol. I want to be just like her. I would love to change my last name to Zaks, so then, I can pretend that I'm related to her, and dye my hair blonde. Ooh, this is gonna be so much fun!!!! I once had a dream that I had a cousin who married into the Zaks family! It was one of the best dreams ever! I was so happy! Didn't want it to end! I love the Zaks family! EMMA FOR PRESIDENT (once she turns 35, but they should actually change the age for her, because she's so great!!!)

Posted: 7/22/08 at 8:04amSo which one of the contestants will end up playing Amber in Hairspray on Broadway? I mean, it just seems like a natural fit that one of them would go into that show.

Damn. You guys, musicaltheatrefan3 is actually a sock puppet. For the longest while I was holding out hope it was just an idiot, but that last post? Yeah, kinda gave the entire game away.
Although it is very sad that Emma got discriminated against.
Being lame, sucky, and whiny is no reason to not get a lead role on Broadway!
... oh, wait...

Posted: 7/22/08 at 8:29amI think it's great that they all got cast in something in the Legally Blonde shows. I would like to see Bailey and then wait until they announce that Autumn is going on and then go see her. I would love to see Autumn perform it! And I'm going to see the tour so looks like I will be seeing Rhiannon and Lauren. This is exciting!!

Posted: 7/22/08 at 12:15pmI noticed that only the girls who made it to the top four got parts so, therefore, anyone who was eliminated prior to that didn't get anything. That seems pretty easy to understand. But then again I have the ability to think logically.

Posted: 7/22/08 at 12:44pmAutumn seemed to be too entitled, that somehow because she had been working so hard and had faced so much rejection ( wonder why) that she was somehow entitled to play Elle Woods. She read really old on stage to me and her voice is stunning, but clearly she has been looked over because she can't dance well or act well. I am glad Bailey was cast. She was optimistic and authentic and Autumn came across as old, jaded, and worn out.

Posted: 7/22/08 at 1:47pmEveryone of you who says Emma got ousted because she's Jewish are STUPID. She got out because she wasn't "it," not because of her religion.

BettyBoo, Autumn was the better actress BY FAR. Bailey is a horrible caricature.
This is Bailey ATTEMPTING to act sad. See that face? NOT SAD! Autumn was clearly the better, more natural actress by FAR!

I dunno, I think she looks like she's about to cry.
Or she's pouting. I can see Elle being pouty during that scene.

"The reason that Emma left was because she was Jewish, and it's unfortunate that us Jews still face discrimination in such a supposedly "tolerant" country. I would actually like to start and anti-racism and fight anti-Semitism foundation to protect Jews, African Americans, Hispanics, Asian Americans, Native Americans, Arab Americans, and LGBT people from discrimination. I would call it the Zaks Anti-Discrimination Foundation for Combatting Racism, Hate, Bigotry, and Anti-Semitism."
Hell yeah, gays are so under-represented in musical theatre.

Oh goody. Now we're going to judge an entire performance by a candid photo taken at a put-in rehearsal. For all we know, that picture could have been snapped between scenes, or during a scene change.

Posted: 7/22/08 at 10:12pmI thought Autumn should win, but then I saw the performances with the full sets and whatnot, and Bailey was so good. Autumn just didn't seem suited for the part. She's talented, for sure, but this part isn't for her. I did find it funny that Jerry Mitchell asked "Autumn, how do you feel about being a Sorority Girl?" I guess it makes sense now.
#73re: How the BLONDE casting plays out (aka: the also-rans who also got cast)
Posted: 7/22/08 at 10:21pmI kinda thought Autumn hesitated to answer how she felt being a sorority girl because maybe she thought she would be one of the Delta Nus and not Elle. That was kind of a wierd question to ask at that point. I was in a sorority in college and we didn't act like that. Elle is a stereotype of a southern tri-Delta.

Posted: 7/22/08 at 10:33pmI don't think it mattered by that point. Autumn could have been very sincere in that answer, and Bailey still would have won. Her final audition was leaps and bounds better than Autumn's.
