How the Rent Trailer made me laugh

I had never watched the very end until today and it said "This Fall only in theaters" which is funny because it's always in the Theater!!!, but maybe it's just me

You *do* know they meant a MOTION PICTURE THEATRE, right?
I would hate to think you were that dense. . .

Oh and I'm flattered you're using an avatar that I personally created. Though it looks kind of small and the effect of the caption is lost. . .

I'm sure they knew that. But I think that's really funny. Good for you for catching that!

...
I don't see what's funny.

I noticed that too, but thought it was more "funny" in that, where else are you going to show a movie...at a gas station or something? Of course it's going to be only in a theater.

Maybe it's not funny, but the play has always been in theatres. It is just now that it's coming to movie theaters. But to say coming this fall to theaters when it's already in the Broadway theatre is kind of funny.

I wouldn't say that it's "funny" just a little humorous that they're saying it's going to be in theaters come fall, when it has been playing in other theatres as a show for years. Of course, this would happen every time a currently running show is made into a movie. I don't see what there is not to "get." It's quite simple.

Ya I don't get it either. I may just be a nerd but when it says theatER it means movie theater and when it is theatRE it is a performing stage house. So basically if you have knowledge of that it isn;t funny....actually even if you didn't it is still not funny.
(Martha Graham from a letter to Agnes de Mille) "There is a vitality, a life force, a quickening That is translated through you into action, And because there is only one of you in all time, This expression is unique. If you block it, It will never exist through any other medium And be lost. The world will never have it. It is not your business to determine how good it is, Nor how valuable it is, Nor how it compares with other expressions. It is your business to keep it yours, clearly and directly, To keep the channel open. You do not even have to believe in yourself or your work. You have to keep open and aware Directly to the urges that motivate you. Keep the channel open. No artist is pleased. There is no satisfaction whatever at any time. There is only a queer, divine dissatisfaction, A blessed unrest that keeps us marching And makes us more alive than others."
