One of the answers is definitely wrong...
Or there might be more than one correct answer...
#12re: How well do you know Ragtime?
Posted: 2/25/05 at 5:49pmWhich one infinate?
#13re: How well do you know Ragtime?
Posted: 2/25/05 at 6:15pmNumber one is definitely 1902, not 1906.
#14re: How well do you know Ragtime?
Posted: 2/25/05 at 6:51pmI missed one and I saw it last night! My bad.

Yeah, #1 is wrong. 1902.
"In 1902, Father built a house at the crest of the Broadview Ave. hill in New Rochelle, New York. And it seemed, for some years thereafter, that all the family's days would be warm and fair."
Should I go on?

Well, it depends on what you're talking about. Father built the house in 1902, but when Emma Goldman talks about Evelyn, she says, "It was only 1906!" And the ensemble kicks in, "And there were 94 years to go!" So, not the answer, but the QUESTION seems to be suspect here. Which date are you looking for?
I got a 90%... I could have SWORN they wrote "Sarah Brown Eyes" for Audra because they felt Sarah needed a stronger presence in Act II, despite her 'deceased' status...

Posted: 2/25/05 at 7:36pmI've got an unusual Ragtime question: is there a particular reason why there's two different CD designs? I know there's the blue one with the statue of liberty, but my library's copy's cover is the colors and logo of the vocal selections (http://www.amazon.com/gp/reader/1576239551/ref=sib_dp_pt/104-0709671-5443955#reader-link), but instead of the statue, there are dark silhouettes in different poses. (I'm sure someone here has it.) Just curious about why there's a difference (or if there's even a reason at all). Updated On: 2/25/05 at 07:36 PM

Yes, some of those questions are misleading.

Posted: 2/25/05 at 8:16pmMeffie got a 90! FYI, #1 is wrong-"Ragtime" starts in 1902.
#21re: How well do you know Ragtime?
Posted: 2/25/05 at 8:38pmThey talk about something that happened in 1902 but it could start in 1906. They would be referencing 1902. He says "IN 1902 father built..." then later they say "IT WAS 1906 and there were 94 years to go." I believe the 1902 is spoken in 1906 about 1902....Did anybody understand that?...
