And find the PERFECT Matilda.

Posted: 1/31/08 at 8:07pmAnything Rold Dalh wrote is whimsical enough for the stage and I would definitely be interested. I would LOVE to see Matilda. There are so many times where I could imagine the characters to break out into a fantastic song.

Emily Skinner doesn't really seem like Miss Trunchbull material. The character is supposed to be tall and rather masculine-she was a discus thrower or something it says in the book. I see someone slightly older as well. Remember, she's Miss Honey's aunt and raised her. I'm not quite sure who fits the bill.
As for Mrs. Wormwood, I think Harriet Harris is pretty good
and I agree that Rob Bartlett as Mr. Wormwood is good casting.
For Miss Honey, how about Erin Davie or Kerry Butler.

I haven't read the book in ages but I do remember that I enjoyed it.
