Roger left a few days ago to film a miniseries. This also proves the rumors wrong that Hunter was fired when Roger replaced him.
I wonder if Roger plans to come back after filming is over.
Hunter is amazing in Producers, but I wish there was a new role on Broadway for him to play...
I REALLY wish he'd find a different show.

Does anyone know how long he will be back in the show? I would love to finally get a chance to meet him. I'm not sure I can suffer through the Producers again, but I would love to stage door it and meet him.

This show needs some star casting and fast.

I heard that he wanted to go overseas and do a show in London. Or at least he said he wanted to "get out of Broadway and try other things." I'm sure there's some shows in the West End he could do. Mary Poppins?

That's what I had heard too. His contract was up, but somebody kept insisting that he was fired to bring Roger in as "stunt casting."
Gah, I wish he'd do a new show. But work is work, and I'm glad he's on Broadway regardless.
He's so great, and I loved his performance in The Producers (he made the show FAR more enjoyable than it otherwise would have been), but he's so, so talented and deserves better.
What about Eddie Varley?

Having seen Producers multiple times, with multiple casts, I can safely say that Hunter is the best Bloom I've seen.

Bump so the other bad threads go away.

Source? Hun, don't pull random myths out of nowhere. And hey, to those of you saying "Again?", a man's gotta work. Obviously if he was offered a new show he would be doing that, but in the mean time this brings in an income, puts his talents to use, and keeps his face out there so casting directors will remember him and keep him in mind for future projects. Hunter rocks in THE PRODUCERS and this show is doing just fine at the box office. It doesn't need stunt casting. Jeez, let a man work.

Aw,I really wanted to catch Roger Bart in it...oh well. At least it's good that Hunter has steady work with the show.
All of these rumors are wrong. Hunter has an open ended contract with The Producers. They like having him in the show from the fall to the spring and then they bring in a "star" to play Leo for the summer boost. When the "star"'s contract is up, Hunter is always welcome to come back, hence why he's left the show for the summer months for the past couple of years.

Jim Stanek needs a better agent. He would great In The Producers. Why go back to a role you already played..Oh rigt $$
Why do they keep recycling cast members? They're worse than Wicked with that.
That show really needs some new blood.
I'd go in and play Ulla, but I'm 5'2 1/2" and a brunette singer/actress.
