Posted: 9/13/06 at 10:55pmHas anyone read this yet? I am in the middle of reading it right now and I think it is amazing! To do such wonderful work and not get recognized for it for so long would just torture me. She is truly remarkable! Anyone planning on going to any of the book singings??

She has to be the most RECOGNIZED unrecognized person in the history of films, I think.
But I love her dearly and think she deserves all the attention and praise.

I actually think June Foray is a more highly recognized unrecognized voice. Marni Nixon, at least, is seen as one of the nuns in The Sound of Music (singing How Do You Solve A Problem Like Maria)

Posted: 9/14/06 at 1:47pmI didn't even realize there was such a book. Thanks, Megs. I'll get right on it.

I went to get it the other day, but the Barnes and Noble near me didn't have it.
I find her story fascinating, and it was a thrill to see her in NINE a couple years ago. I mean, she blew in it, but it was still interesting.

Posted: 9/14/06 at 2:14pmYeah, I got the last copy at the Borders by me. I don't know if that meant that people were buying it or that they didn't have that many to begin with. I would love to go to a book signing. Too bad I am stuck in the middle of country, in Chicago, while she is signing at stores in LA and New York. To meet her and hear her sing in person would be a dream come true. Anybody planning on going? If so, may I please live vicariously through you?
