Today I had a lunch where they served a walnut cake for dessert with lavender ice cream. The taste of lavender was not overwhelming; it was more like a creamy vanilla ice cream with a hint of lavender flavor. Very nice.

I tried some of hers and didn't care for it because it tasted just like the smell of the laundry detergent I use. I also tried the strawberry balsamic and didn't think there was enough balsamic in it.

I finally got there, and I tried the fresh peach. I would say it fits the title of this thread perfectly. It was exceptional.
