i'm seeing this in Boston. i got a ticket just so i could hear her sing Chief Cook And Bottle Washer alone. Chita Rivera is a living LEGEND! She could LAUGH in Elaine Stritch's face!

seriously, Chita! show her what those tights are for!

I wish I had seen her in A DANCER'S LIFE. I am a big fan of hers and got to see her in WEST SIDE STORY, BYE BYE BIRDIE, and KISS OF THE SPIDER WOMAN which I am listening to now. She is a true professional and was very pleasant at the stage door. She seems very grateful to her fans.

A Dancer's Life truly was an inspiring show. I was in awe throughout the entire show. She was so friendly at the stagedoor and had a nice conversation with me. What a great day.

How have the houses been everywhere else on the tour?
When I saw it in Cincinnati the Aronoff was about 70% full. I think I was one of the only people under 40 there. Haha

I plan on seeing this in Boston, and I'm pretty excited. I have a stupid question though; if Chita is unable to go on for a performance, is it cancelled? I can't imagine there being an understudy for Chita Rivera playing herself.

I think I remember seeing her do "Chief Cook and Bottle Washer" on Broadway...Lemme check...Yeah, she did.

I saw it on Broadway the week before it closed. (see avatar) I was so disappointed by the attendance. There was no one in the balcony at all. I was in the third row....Ah, sweet heaven.

Seriously, my most treasured two and a half hours in a theatre.
