I was just on the website for this show (http://www.iloveyoubecausethemusical.com/index.htm) and I really like what I've heard of the music that was available to be downloaded. Does anyone know how likely it is that a full recording of this show will be released?
My friend is in the show so I have been fortunate enough to hear the full score. It's great! AND they have an awesome cast. I will ask about the cast recording and see if they have any dates set.
Too bad Lisa Howard couldn't do it... She's great on those selections on the site.
Tonya Pinkins: Then we had a "Lot's Wife" last June that was my personal favorite. I'm still trying to get them to let me sing it at some performance where we get to sing an excerpt that's gone.
Tony Kushner: You can sing it at my funeral.
I was wondering the same thing. I'd definitely love to see this show -- both the music and actors are fantastic (mmm...Colin...) However, I don't think I'll be able to manage a trip to NY until later next year. I hope this show has a nice, *long* run.
I went to a reading this past summer and I was blown away. It is very cute, and Stephanie and Colin were wonderful. I think it will be a hit. Check it out.
