Your last paragraph lead me to not really care about what you had to say about my faulty theory. (i know it's faulty. But The Wedding Singer still sucks!)
You are, however, pretty studly in that photograph.

Because the person selling the bootleg doesn't have the right to make money from the efforts of others?
Who says all bootlegs are sold for profit? The vast majority are not; people have no intention financial gain and share them freely because they DO love theatre so much that they think everyone should have the opportunity to see it.
I wish there was always an opportunity to see Sweeney onstage. I've never been so blown away by a performance ever.

Exactly.
Most bootleg acquisition is done only through trading, or if they are purchased, the money is only used to cover the cost of material and shipping. In no way does it ever compare to the experience of live theater, but in the case of Sweeney - I didn't get to see it live, and it will never happen again. So I can kick myself forever for NOT seeing it live (which I'll do anyway) or get a fraction of the experience by watching the DVD, you know?

The Wedding Singer wasn't that bad... it was moderately bad!
That I didn't like the Sweeney revival discredits everything else I have to say? Well, I could feel the same in reverse for anyone who likes it but I'm being respectful :P I loved Company, for the record, instruments be damned.
And thank you very much.
