"The Nanny" took place in Manhattan. And the "character actresses" you're alluding to be similar to New Jersey people were actually Jewish people from Flushing, Queens. Also in New York.

But the ones from Jersey are very similar if not bigger and broader. Sorry.. there is no offense intended. These ladies know what they are and they are proud ( and loud).

i know that Foanatic, i am just saying the audience of "Jersey Boys" the day i saw it looked like they all came from the sitcom "The Nanny", i know the NYC area very well. I hope you understand what im saying.*focus*
