I've seen clips of the show Boy Meets World, but I've never actually watched an episode until today. It struck me as funny that Mr. Feeny is the Principal of John Adams Jr. High....For any die hard fans of the show....Did they do that on purpose (since he (Daniels) played John Adams in both the movie and stage musical?)
Another Boy Meets World fact - the girl who played Cory's younger sister Morgan (Lindsay Ridgway) was Tina in Ruthless. She's awesome, I saw her here at the Canon Theater in L.A. LONG ago.

Linsay Ridgeway also sings in one of the episodes of Boy Meets World too. It's been a long time since I've seen it and I don't remember the episode very well. But I thought she was pretty good. Sorry about the minor threadjack. I don't about NYC_or_Bust's question.
My brother learned that in history class.
PS-
HOW do you not worship Boy Meets World and the ground Corey/Shawn/Topanga walk on?!?
Topanga is my Idina.
not really.

Wasn't morgan's name Lily or something? I seem to remember they always had her name surrounded by flowers.
there were two morgans...and older one and a younger one.
I loved the younger one, the older one annoyed me.
the younger morgan was named Lily.
I just remember when it got late in the show's run and they brought in the Matt Lawrence as Corey's brother's roommate. What a stud.

Got it. I didn't know they switched Morgans.
The first Morgan was so cute!
I think the Lawrence was in it for at least 5 years...
I lied, 4 years.
I love that show so much...still. The younger Morgan was so cute, the older one reminded me of the middle sister from Full House. Not a good thing. I had an obsession with Ben Savage (Cory) for a while. Fun times.

If I'm not mistaken, naming the high school John Adams High is indeed a reference to 1776.
Once Corey and the gang left junior high, that show really took off. The writing was excellent, for the most part. You don't see that kind of character developement in sitcoms very often (especially not in shows aimed at teenagers)
I didn't like it as much after Eric got super stupid...
But that is still my SHOW!

like the loser that I am, I have been awaiting the chance to express my love of Boy meets world to strangers all across the world!!! out of all those "Miller/Boyett" family shows of the 80's and 90's (full house, step by step, and family matters), this one is the best!!. great writing, funny stories, and great morals and values and stuff. I cried at the last episode. For some reason, it has a very special place in my heart.
it sure was dramatic for a sitcom aimed at kids. Remember all of Sean's family problems, and then when his father finally died? tragic!!! oh, does anyone remember the one where sean was almost sucked in by that weird cult?
what a great show.

This is as much Americana as Apple Pie.
For shame.
