I think what Matthew Broderick lacks in singing he makes up for in comic time and charm. I probably would have enjoyed listening to him more than Bart. In fact, I think Bart is the weak link in this cast recording--along with most of the songs of course.
I have to say I agree with WannaBeFoster re Megan Mullally's songs. I can't stop listening, she is hilarious. I still wish I could have the chance of listening to Chenoweth singing them only because the songs seem SO opposite of her persona that it baffles me she even considered to be part of this.
Andrea Martin, Sutton Foster, and Christopher Fitzgerald are all charming and fun. One can only wonder what these great bunch of comedic actors would have done provided with better songs.
