Oh, Eponine.
Have we forgotten the body shots you were doing off of Sara Ramirez?

Posted: 3/25/06 at 6:49pmI'll post some pics later. If you don't believe that he asked us to drink then don't. But it only happened because it was cold outside and we started to really get into a conersation, plus the fact that a college professor of mine, who we ran into at the stage door there, also knew him from before his Broadway days so we (all 5 of us) went out afterwards and talked about theatre in new york and getting work and such. :)

I am SO glad you had a great time. I believe you. :)
I too had a great time in New York.
First I went and saw Wicked and I saw Idina in the audience. Of course she immediately recognized me because of all of my connections. In fact, I have the word CONNECTIONS tatoo'd on my forehead.
So Idina took me backstage and it was so much fun hanging out with the cast! I even got to "defy gravity" and fly like Elphaba does! OMG and then Idina invited me to have drinks in her old dressing room and we got really wasted.
Then I went and saw The Lion King for free because I told the guy at the box office that I'm black and he believed me. Apparently all black people get in free to that show. Or maybe it's because I have so many connections.
I was walking around NYC drunk when I ran into Jay Leno and he not only gave me FREE tickets to a taping, he said I could be a guest on the show!
Me and my life partner only had about three seconds to get to the mansion that we got for free from Oprah to change before seeing Rent. I used all my connections to get the OBC together (except with Tracie Thoms playing Joanne) to perform for me and then they threw me a party.
Luckily 50 casting agents were in the audience and I was pulled on stage by Tracie to do her Seasons of Love solo. The casting agents were in tears and immediately got on their cell phones to get in touch with my agent to cast me in every Broadway show imaginable.
There is SO much more to tell but this post is way too short and I'll have to finish it later. Be sure to catch me as Effie AND Deena in Dreamgirls this December!

WOW, JesusUnlimited. You've certainly changed your mind on Wicked since the last time you were posting about it.

"My connections opened my eyes. "
But the real question is, in doing that did they introduce you to more connections?

Posted: 3/26/06 at 3:44pmOh, I understand completely, JU. Speaking of connections -- I just got a call from Mayor Bloomberg, and they're redesigning the Statue of Liberty so it looks like me! He thought he owed me one because I let him have the last bagel when he was in line behind me at the deli the other day.

Posted: 3/26/06 at 3:47pmMy connections are so connected that their connections are even connected. My connections are unlimited. Madonna came up to me on the street and gave me three tickets to go to heaven. Who wants to go with me?

Posted: 3/27/06 at 10:19amI agree, JU. But it's a new day. Let's give it another chance. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm off to brunch with Celeste Holm, Pam Dawber and Norbert Leo Butz. I saw the three of them on the A train this morning, and they thought I was so cool that they invited me out! We're going to Howard Johnson's. I think I'll have cranberries and a 7-Up.

Posted: 3/27/06 at 10:34ambially, sounds like a great time! I believe you did the things you did. When I come to NYC I am blessed to have great connections also and hardly ever pay for tickets, eat at the best places and do things a lot of other people don't get to do.

I hope you're kidding.
Or else that's the most egotistical post I've ever read.
