re: I heart Hugh Panaro today

I love him, too. SHOWBOAT was one of the first shows I ever saw and Hugh was one of my first Broadway stars...I remember loving his performance in that show and thinking he was SO CUTE :)

He is INCREDIBLE in Phantom, too!

I love Hugh too. I remember thinking he was adorable as Raoul in when I first saw the show. And he's a great Phantom now of course. re: I heart Hugh Panaro today

re: I heart Hugh Panaro today

I've heard so many people say they like him. I'm sure he's a sweet guy, and he IS cute. But in terms of performance, I wasn't crazy about him. Maybe it was just an off night for him, but I was a little disappointed.

He was amazing when I saw him in Phantom. He gave me chills everytime he opened his mouth to sing.

Ditto. Hugh's wonderful as the Phantom! He was terrific in Martin Guerre too. And have you ever heard him sing in concert? Yes, chills is the right way to describe it! :)

I saw him on Broadway On Broadway 2003 and wasn't too impressed.

re: I heart Hugh Panaro today

Didn't seem necessary to start a new thread, so I bumped this one to tell a brief story, the title definitely works with the story.

After Pillowman tonight, realized I never got to meet Hugh after Phantom, and i was right there so figured I'd see if I could catch him, we got there right before he came out. First time I met him and he is an absolute doll! He personalized a playbill to a little girl, when he took a pic with me, he asked to make sure that the picture came out well or he'd take another, was just really sweet and personable and talkative. I absolutely adore his performance in Phantom but now I adore him as a person!

I fell in love with him when I saw him in Martin Guerre. :) When I went back to see him again, I got his u/s, Hunter Foster, who wasn't nearly as good.

I heart him everyday.

His Phantom has grown on me, but I still think he was the perfect Raoul.

re: I heart Hugh Panaro today

I saw Hugh as the Phantom the first time I saw the show. I was unimpressed. He seemed very bored, the whole cast did. It was a matinee, so maybe that was it, but I feel like I didn't get my $100's worth.

re: I heart Hugh Panaro today

I LOVE HUGH PANARO!
I just saw him for the 4th time two days ago! He was wonderful as usual.
Then after the show i went to the stage door and MET HIM!
OMG! I was totally speechless!
He gave me him autograph...He was sooooooo nice! When he came out he was like: "Awhhhh! Thank you for waiting for me!" This girl's mom gave him some dog toys for his dog and he was like: "O my god! Thank you! Thank you!"--So CUTE!!!!
-The whole time was just SOOO COOL!-
Back, he spurred like a madman, shrieking a curse to the sky. With the white road smoking behind him and his rapier brandished high! Blood-red were the spurs i' the golden noon; wine-red was his velvet coat, when they shot him down on the highway, down like a dog on the highway, and he lay in his blood on the highway, with the bunch of lace at his throat... Phantomerik, did you go to the matinee or evening? As I posted, I visited the stage door in the evening, then again I don't remember any dogs so it prob was the matinee...

re: I heart Hugh Panaro today

It was the evening of the 24th. There was no dog, except Rebecca Pitcher's...her's was so cute.---Hugh didnt bring his dog.
There was just this girl and her parents. they gave him a purple bag.

re: I heart Hugh Panaro today

Hugh is the man, I have seen him 3 times as the Phantom and I can honestly say everytime he was awesome in singing and acting.
I always miss him for his autograph. I waited over a half hour last time, but he must have went out the front. Well maybe next time.

re: I heart Hugh Panaro today

Saw him in the concert version of MACK AND MABEL a couple of years back and met him at the party afterward. All I could think was "GOD ALL THAT TALENT AND STUNNING LOOKS!" I definitely was way behind him when God was handing these out!

re: I heart Hugh Panaro today

I saw him in Phantom for a third time last night (fourth time at the show), and he was FLAWLESS as always. I think I cried the hardest during the show last night than I did any of the previous times.

I was heartbroken when he didn't come out the stage door after I waited forty-five minutes for him, though I know it's not required of him to come out. But, still...re: I heart Hugh Panaro today. Maybe next time....if there is one.
