re: Last Hugh Performance for Phantom (10/1)
 Oct 2 2005, 07:54:06 PM
I went to his last eveing performance.
IMHO as well as others I have talked too, Hugh gave one of his best performances last night. Best I think I have seen him do in all the times I have seen him and that says alot. Sandra gave a nice speech about Hugh at the end of the show (she even cried) and all the cast members gave him roses. They had a party for him after the show but many loyal fans waited at the stage door for like and hour and a half for him to come out. He finally did around 12-

Hugh is the man, I have seen him 3 times as the Phantom and I can honestly say everytime he was awesome in singing and acting.
I always miss him for his autograph. I waited over a half hour last time, but he must have went out the front. Well maybe next time.

re: the new POTO Raoul?!

I saw John Cudia as Raoul and thought he was great. Then I went back up to see the Phantom on June the 6th and was shocked to see he was not there. But I liked Gleason too, I think he did a great job. I do think I may like Cudia a little better though. I am also gonna really miss Hugh as the Phantom if it turns out he actually leaves.

I thought I would bump this thread then start a brand new one. So does anyone know if Hugh is going to return as the Phantom when his contract is up in July? I have seen him twice already, and am taking alot of family members to see him as the Phantom in August. It will be to bad if he is not there anymore. I know John Cudia just left as Raoul not long ago. Does anyone else know?
